Account Executive/Transportation Broker/Sales
Your specific duties as a Logistics Account Executive will include(but not limited to):
- Utilize business development skills to identify, qualify and develop relationships with prospective customers and independently generate new sales revenue.
- Making sales presentations to prospective clients
- Negotiating shipping rates with carriers
- Manage daily shipping schedules and dispatching trucks for freight pickup
- · Providing responsive customer service and resolving client issues quickly and efficiently
- Ensuring that all client freight loads are shipped on time
- Following up on client referrals
- Meeting or exceeding all performance goals
Job Requirements:
- Superior written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Must be detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Must embody a strong work ethic and desire to learn new sales techniques and strategies in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven self-starter with confidence and high energy level.
- Minimum 1 year of successful Sales or Account Management experience in freight brokerage, trucking dispatch operations or logistics environment is strongly preferred.
