Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Document, monitor, and update accounting policies
· Ensure all payments are completed in a timely manner (including AP and bank deposits)
· Review quarterly and annual budgets for all departments
· Analyze costs and profits, including vendor analysis for cost savings
· Set and track financial KPIs
· Report on financial status on a regular (monthly) basis and create ad-hoc reports when needed
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems
· Perform internal accounting audits and assist with external audits
· Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations (GAAP)
· Fully responsible for the firm’s financials

Requirements :
· Unafraid of “getting your hands dirty” by working alongside the junior accountant team
· Work experience in the construction, HVAC, or subcontractor industries preferred
· Experience using QuickBooks a plus
· Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Hands-on experience with the GL, AP, and AR functions
· Experience with cash management and risk assessment
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, business, and/or a related field preferred
· At least 5 years of related experience preferred; 2 years of accounting supervisory experience preferred
· HVAC experience or familiarity with the trade is a huge plus!
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (8 hours per day)
· May need to lift/push/pull/carry up to 25 lbs.
