Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Document, monitor, and update accounting policies
• Ensure all payments are completed in a timely manner (including AP and bank deposits)
• Review quarterly and annual budgets for all departments
•  Analyze costs and profits, including vendor analysis for cost savings
• Set and track financial KPIs
• Report on financial status on a regular (monthly) basis and create ad-hoc reports when needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems
• Perform internal accounting audits and assist with external audits
• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations (GAAP)
• Fully responsible for the firm’s financials

Requirements :

• Unafraid of “getting your hands dirty” by working alongside the junior accountant team
•  Work experience in the construction, HVAC, or subcontractor industries preferred
•  Experience using QuickBooks a plus
•  Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
•  Hands-on experience with the GL, AP, and AR functions
•  Experience with cash management and risk assessment
•  Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, business, and/or a related field preferred
•  At least 5 years of related experience preferred; 2 years of accounting supervisory experience preferred
•  HVAC experience or familiarity with the trade is a huge plus!
•  Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (8 hours per day)
•  May need to lift/push/pull/carry up to 25 lbs.
