Job Summary:
The Production Manager will oversee production in the St. George facility and coordinate production scheduling with the Las Vegas facility to ensure effective and timely completion and delivery. The Production Manager will maximize efficiency, monitor and reduce waste, streamline workflow, ensure consistency between locations, and meet the manufacturing goals of the Company that include achieving a 95% on-time delivery of all orders.
KPI (Key Performance Indicators):
1. Square feet printed per labor hour
2. Linear feet of sewing per labor hour
3. Waste or scrap as a % of production per week
4. On time deliveries of accepted and processed orders
These are the per facility items that will be reported in Tuesday Exec meetings.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the St. George primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, project managers, logistics, and production departments.
- Lead production planning and evaluate priorities to ensure good customer outcomes.
- Be capable of assisting the production team with troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Sales team, Project Managers, Pre-Press and Production teams to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve customer needs.
- Address scheduling and production flow issues as they arise.
- Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
- Identify areas of potential cost reductions and/or streamlining production workflow.
- Identify and address key concerns that may alter or impact on-time delivery.
- Be a strong advocate for employee welfare and safety.
- Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to work with purchasing to acquire additional supplies/materials as needed.
- Regularly communicate with management regarding problems or issues impacting production
- Coordinate with Las Vegas team to ensure production and delivery as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
- Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with company management.
Training & Oversight
- In close cooperation with Human Resources, ensure that training initiatives for the Production departments of both locations are met and renewed at regular intervals. Establish and refine training programs for new and existing production employees.
- Oversee the workflow and effectiveness of each production department.
- Serve as first contact and liaison for equipment problems as they arise. Triage and coordinate repairs.
- Monitors capability, productivity, and efficiency and waste (including reprints) of each production department and provides constructive feedback and coaching.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- In concert with Human Resources, participate in hiring, discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep the organization accident-free.
- Partner with senior management to identify, set, and monitor production goals for each department.
- Hands-on participation in production as needed.
- Communicating regularly with executive team regarding problems or issues impacting production.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of related experience required.
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

- Be accessible for questions and problem solving, as well as responding to customer needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, lifting and reaching.
- Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
