Summary:

Responsible for creating an efficient schedule designed to streamline production and to meet customer demand. Support the value stream and work closely with all other functions to ensure objectives are met. All tasks must be completed in accordance with cGMP and GDP requirements.

Responsibilities:

Examine and resolve issues or concerns occurring during production and take corrective action with appropriate operation employee(s).

  • Attend huddle meetings and report out on KPI’s
  • Analyze reports and create workorders to support receiving and production.
  • Schedule workflow, identify, and resolves potential or existing problems by utilizing lean methodologies or continuous improvement.
  • Regularly update daily production schedule to reflect customer priority and ensure on time delivery.
  • Forecast and maintain accurate inventory levels on supplies needed to meet customer requirements, production flow and target inventory goals.
  • Ensure MRP system is correctly reflecting actual production conditions and maintain communication with partnering departments to update ERP and optimize process performance.
  • Recommend and adjust planning parameters to improve planning and scheduling system process that include lot sizes, shrink factors, lead times and daily runs.
  • Evaluate impact of customer demand changes and advice impact to plant and suppliers to prevent shortage.
  • Identify areas of improvement to further streamline the planning and scheduling process to help boost business performance.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelors in Project Management, Supply Chain or Chemical Engineering is preferred but not required.

  • Lean Manufacturing or Project Management Certifications preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • Full understanding and ability to adhere to cGMP/GDP and other regulatory standards.

  • Current or prior HAZWOPER is a plus.

  • Experience using ERP systems, Oracle preferred.

  • Must be familiar with batch records, safety data sheets and weight measurements.

  • 2-3 years of experience working in a regulated environment with a preferred background in chemical production.
