Defining the Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be a great writer who grasps financial markets.

They will play a critical role in helping our team communicate our unique investing research process and approach to a large and growing audience of investors around the world.

The successful candidate will help represent the company brand across social media as well as investing newsletters and research products.


  • An entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to take initiative and identify creative ways to represent the company brand across social media, paying products and on our website

  • Write, edit, and oversee thoughtful market/economic insights to ensure the timeliness of our Macro team’s market calls are effectively communicated to prospects and paying subscribers

  • Create compelling social media content (primarily via the company’s Twitter handle) to further increase our expanding social media presence and engagement

  • Proactively identify interesting stories and developments based on our analysts’ market calls to be featured across our media distribution vehicles

  • Assist your teammates in writing, editing, and delivering assorted daily/weekly investing research products to our subscribers

  • Write email marketing blasts to our audience of subscribers and prospects


  • A strong grasp of financial markets and economics is essential to success in this role

  • Excellent writing skills are also essential to success in this role

  • Awareness of the most timely, topical financial market events and ability to filter these events through the company’s unique risk management process to communicate that with paying and prospective subscribers

  • Ability to effectively communicate the company’s value proposition to engage and grow an online investing audience

  • Knowledge of investing trends that drive engagement across social media platforms

  • Attention to detail is an absolute must

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Interest working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative, team-oriented environment

  • A great sense of humor and strong appreciation for the value of “teamwork”


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics and/or Journalism

  • Experience working at a financial media company, investing firm, or related is a definite plus

  • Experience on Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms is a plus
