Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator. This role is crucial for the accurate financial and resource planning of our projects. Candidates with over 5 years of multifamily construction estimating experience in South Florida and previous general contractor roles are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and assist in managing bid packages and invitations to bid (ITB) using Procore.
  • Solicit bids from qualified subcontractors, suppliers, and professionals to ensure comprehensive and competitive estimates.
  • Analyze project documents such as specifications, blueprints, and proposals to fully understand the scope and requirements of projects.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and generate precise estimation reports using estimation software.
  • Review and analyze subcontractor bids, perform risk assessments, and ensure bid alignment with project specifications.
  • Develop accurate line-item budgets for construction projects and ensure strict adherence to schedules.
  • Prepare and organize bid proposals, ensuring all project categories are addressed.
  • Interpret soils and engineering reports to assess cost implications and project scope adjustments.
  • Assist in the distribution of project plans and specifications to subcontractors for bidding.
  • Manage communication and relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and the internal team effectively.
  • Contribute to budgeting and value engineering processes for project optimizations.
  • Create comprehensive scopes of work and buy-out packages for subcontract awards.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in estimating, with a focus on multi-family residential construction.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and understanding of construction terminology.
  • Familiarity with Contractor Specification Institute (CSI) codes.
  • Notary certification preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
