Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team handling diverse warehouse operations, including interviewing, training, and evaluating staff, and managing schedules.
  • Oversee employee timekeeping and manage payroll documentation.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of staff efficiencies and operational workflow to meet customer demands.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Manage carrier routings to achieve 100% compliance with routing guides.
  • Establish and monitor key operational metrics, reporting on warehouse efficiency per customer.
  • Handle the customer returns process and manage warehouse vendor relations, including negotiations and overseeing contracts for supplies and services.
  • Perform monthly P&L reviews to manage costs and boost revenue.
  • Champion the use of the Quality Management System (QMS) to enhance service offerings and secure new contracts.
  • Develop and oversee warehouse processes and safety protocols, including CAPA investigations.
  • Manage the upkeep and maintenance of the warehouse to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained in their roles, including safety and operational procedures, to comply with OSHA, ISO, Hazmat, and other regulatory standards.
  • Actively participate in management meetings, providing insightful reports on operational status and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of management experience in warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Experience with ISO regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Understanding of industry Hazmat rules and procedures related to warehouse operations is beneficial.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in creating and analyzing reports in Excel.
  • 3-5 years of experience in operating both powered and manual material handling equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
