Electrical Engineer/Project Manager
Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Project Manager interested in designing building electrical systems for complex, challenging facility design projects. They specialize in the design and evaluation of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering systems. They are looking for an engineer with proven experience in new construction, as well as upgrading and retrofitting these systems.
Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for managing projects to make certain they are completed on time & within budget
Prepare project budgets, proposals, and technical reports
Design building electrical systems with supervision by a Senior Engineer
Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with design criteria and all applicable regulations
Monitor progress of managed projects to maintain project schedules and budget.
Quality Control Reviews of plans in various stages of development.
Develop specifications, system narratives and system layouts for a variety of project types and sizes.
Develop/design solutions for a variety of technical problems from minor to moderate scope and complexity across the electrical engineering discipline
Provide design assistance from concept through construction, including answering contractor questions and completing MEP shop drawing reviews
Facilitate transition of MEP system schematic designs through to construction documents
Prepare plans and specifications for bidding and construction
Participate in project coordination with mechanical, structural, and architectural disciplines
Prepare engineering studies and reports
Prepare energy conservation studies, energy modeling and energy audits
Survey a wide variety of facilities and processes for determining as-built conditions
Produce Revit-generated drawings for building systems
Maintain computer-based filing system
Maintain and update standards
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience designing electrical systems required
Missouri Professional Engineer License (required? a plus?)
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
AutoDesk Revit, AutoCAD and MS office suite skills
