Job Overview: The Sr. Front-End React Developer is a key member of our Digital team that is instrumental in delivering an exceptional customer experience. This individual has a passion for continuous learning and leverages technology to solve real customer pain points. Not only will they be responsible for execution, but also strategic guidance over development work and responsible for cultivating engineering expertise. This role will work directly with Senior Management to help set vision and scope for product roadmap. Responsibilities: Development: Responsible for development for the public website. You will contribute to the design and development of new and changing products/tools on our website. You will help with defect remediation discovered in testing and CI/CD pipeline oversight. UI / UX Design: You are an entrepreneur that thinks strategically about driving a more efficient and effective customer experience. You will design prototypes that articulate your vision and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups to bring game changing products to market. Technical Design: You look beyond execution to communicate technical design options, business value, and tradeoffs that set prioritization. This entails developing technical specifications and collaboration in project planning exercises Innovation and Commercialization: You have a passion for staying ahead of the curve, but intuition for well architected, elegant solutions. You will deliver cutting edge solutions that drive real client and commercial value. About You: 5+ years of experience working with public facing websites (Preferred) You have a strong technical foundation and experience building user interfaces for complex applications. You have a deeper understanding of one or more modern web technologies - React (Preferred), AngularJS, Vue, including advanced topics like state management & routing. You have a deeper understanding of the details under the hood including, HTML, CSS, and Javascript (ES6/ES7+) You are aware of the industry best practices on shipping high performance, clean, and maintainable large scale production systems. You have extensive experience designing great APIs Experience with Typescript, cypress (testing) Experience with continuous deployment preferred Your strong interpersonal skills allow you to effectively collaborate cross functionally with designers, product managers and other engineers. You have a keen product sense and know when a feature works and when it can be improved. You have a track record of mentoring junior & mid-level engineers. You have a Bachelor’s degree Technology: We use the MERN Stack with TypeScript MongoDB for our production data store and SQL Server for our data warehouse Kubernetes, for deployment and fully automated build and release pipelines
