Melting Furnace Operator
Join a leading manufacturer and play a key role in our iron melting operations! We’re looking for reliable, safety-conscious individuals to help power our client production team.
What You’ll Do
As a Melting Furnace Operator, you’ll be at the heart of our iron production process, responsible for ensuring efficient and safe furnace operations. Your key duties will include:
Setting up and operating furnace charging equipment.
Performing quality tests to ensure products meet specifications.
Tapping the furnace into ladles and transporting molten grey iron.
Monitoring temperatures, chemistry, and furnace conditions.
Handling relines, cold starts, sinters, and breakouts as needed.
Repairing ladles and furnaces and performing routine maintenance.
Slagging the furnace, collecting samples, and making chemistry adjustments.
Operating the scrap yard crane to load charge cars.
Maintaining a clean, organized workspace following 6S standards.
What You’ll Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in melting, manufacturing, or industrial settings is a plus—but we’ll train the right candidate!
A consistent, stable work history is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently bend, lift, and move items up to 50 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodations).
