Responsibilities:

• Ensure the blender is clean
• Review run sheet for blending instructions
• Completing the paperwork by recording the number of batches that are staged and blended.
• Report any overage or shortage to your supervisor immediately.
• Notify Quality Control when the batch is ready for inspection
• Upon approval, drop blend into properly cleaned and lined bin
• Mark bin with proper identification
• Take material to the extrusion area
• Keep work area clean.

Authorities:

• Sign and date the run sheet
• Determine with supervisor how much oil to use and record the amount on the run sheet

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 55-pound bags
• Ability to lean forward to clean equipment
• Ability to stand for hours at a time
• Good math and reading skills
• Ability to communicate with fellow workers
• Ability to safely operate electrical equipment with moving parts
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to work in harsh conditions (I.E. hot and cold climates)
• Good housekeeping skills
• High school education, GED, and/or equivalent
• No related experience required

Performance Evaluation Metrics:

• Blending instructions are followed/Paperwork is signed and dated
• Blenders are cleaned properly to avoid contamination
• Batches are recorded properly
• Bins are properly identified
• Work area is clean and free of debris
