Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our construction operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of all construction projects, as well as managing and motivating a team of employees. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the construction industry and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Supervise and manage all construction personnel, including site managers, project managers, engineers, and support staff.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the construction department, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and schedules, and work with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financials.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement contingency plans as necessary.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, and implement and oversee a robust safety program.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to employees, ensuring they are motivated, engaged, and committed to the company's goals.

Requirements:

  • Looking for someone that has Heavy Civil management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Must be familiar with HCSS or any other estimating software
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of employees.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and managing budgets.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards, and experience implementing safety programs.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors.
