Heat Treat GM - sales + operations

This position will plan, organize, staff and direct all heat treat operations and manage key accounts and sales. 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure a safe, productive and rewarding working environment for department employees.
• Schedule and expedite all parts through heat treat; ensuring quality, cost, inventory and level loaded throughout.
• Continually engage in heat treat process improvement and supplier development.
• Submit forecast changes for approval and review short term capacity constraints.
• Develop and lead global sourcing strategies; establishing an effective supply base, executing long term agreements and leveraging spend.
• Track global capacity required for commodity.
• Lead and manage spend within heat treat outside processing.
• Lead and support supplier selection, negotiations, cost reductions, and continuous improvement
• Monitor performance of the suppliers to ensure attainment of objectives in quality, delivery, service, and cost; resolves issues as required
• Communicate work order status as required.
• Lead and support RFQ efforts
• Align and systematically track business performance against plan; understand deviations and provide insights and corrective actions to management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; preferably in science, engineering, metallurgy, or supply chain
• Minimum of five years related experience in a manufacturing environment; heat treat experience preferred
• 2+ years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to analyze and interpret data
• Effective problem solving skills
• Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, to convey ideas and processes
• Strong leadership; ability to define team vision and hold others accountable for results
• Drive, determination, and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results
• Sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of simultaneous projects

Compensation: $100,000.00
