Position Summary

The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and execution of one or more flight programs. This role is accountable for ensuring customer satisfaction, delivering programs on time and within budget, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and risk management.

The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts, and Finance teams to drive effective planning and execution. This position also includes mentoring junior program management staff and contributing to the overall success of the Program Management Office (PMO).

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full lifecycle program execution, including cost, schedule, and risk management

  • Serve as the primary customer interface for assigned programs

  • Partner closely with Lead Systems Engineers responsible for technical execution

  • Coordinate across functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery

  • Mentor and support other Program Managers within the organization

  • Support travel or on-site program activities as required

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 7+ years of relevant experience

  • PMP Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)

  • Experience managing space-related programs and/or space electronic systems

  • Demonstrated experience managing government programs of a technical nature, including FAR-based contracts with multiple CLINs

  • Strong financial management and program planning experience

  • Working knowledge of government contract structures (OTA and FAR-based)

  • Proven background managing product development programs, including design, development, procurement, prototyping, and production

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies

Work Location & Travel

This is a remote-based position requiring frequent travel (approximately 30%–50%).

While remote, candidates located near one of the following regions are strongly preferred:

  • Northern Virginia / Washington, D.C.

  • Denver, Colorado
