We're seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize network infrastructure across data centers and cloud platforms—especially AWS. This role focuses on scalable solutions, automation, and configuration as code using modern, open-source tools.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support network infrastructure in hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud, primarily AWS).
Troubleshoot complex networking issues, including switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Automate network configurations using tools like Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
Apply “Configuration as Code” methodologies for repeatable, scalable solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliable and secure network operations.
Maintain and improve cloud and on-prem network standards and performance.
Share knowledge and mentor peers across engineering functions.
Participate in rotational on-call support and incident resolution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
8+ years in production network environments, including large-scale global infrastructure.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS networking (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, etc.).
Solid understanding of IP networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and technologies (VXLAN, EVPN, SD-WAN).
Experience with enterprise network hardware (Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5).
Proficient in firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) and network analysis tools (Wireshark, NetFlow, Syslog).
Experience with zero-trust solutions (e.g., Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE).
Strong scripting/automation skills; familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices.
Effective communicator and collaborator in fast-paced environments.
Proficient with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Self-motivated with a commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
