JOB TITLE: Vehicle Sales Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
10.Ensure that adequate safety and security procedures exist and are operated.
11.Monitor cleaning of new car stock.
12.Monitor cleanliness of showroom, forecourt and other sales related areas.
13.Maintain good liaison with other managers.
14.Advise General Manager and all other managers on sales matters.
15.Advise subordinates on appropriate sales related matters.
16.Maintain direct liaison with manufacturer’s representatives and all other contacts.
17.Propose special sales promotions as appropriate.
18.Ensure adequate stocks of car and product display material is available.
19.Formulate marketing plan, initiate and conduct new car launches and promotions.
20.Formulate marketing plan and initiate car sales promotions.
21.Analyse local customer/car preference statistics and compare with new car forecasts, acting on any anomalies detected.
22.Handle customer complaints and ensure corrective action is taken.
23.Maintain record of customer complaints or congratulations for analysis and use as required.
24.Review all pricing policies, discounts and “trade-in” dealing to maintain dealership profitability.
25.Monitor costs and general condition of demonstrator fleet.
26.Monitor sales department financial performance weekly.
27.Monitor credit and finance commission income to ensure budget requirements are met.
28.Monitor outstanding debtor situation and take appropriate action.
29.Ensure that all trading and stockholding of vehicles is within allocated floor plan facilities.
