DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the operational flow across all functions within the Warehouse:  Inbound: Receiving, Packaging, Replenishing, Returns and Repairs;  Outbound: Picking & Checking — Logistics — Fleet Management — Merchandising — Space planning and optimization — Stock control: Placing orders, stock rotation and storage, stock take, distribution and delivery — Supervise the maintenance of the physical condition of the building and its operational equipment — Plan and manage future Warehouse growth and expansion — Ensure Health & Safety regulations are adhered to — Risk management — Maintain strict security procedures and protocols — Ensure supplier and contractor relationships and standards are maintained — Facilitate communication across all functions within the Warehouse and also between the Warehouse and other departments within the company — Assist in setting up at exhibitions and trade shows — Ensure the company’s objectives and daily targets are met — Manage costs and expenses associated with employment — Staff management — Resource planning and optimization: Recruitment and the Growth and Development of employees — Responsible for managing overtime, leave and daily time & attendance of the Warehouse team — Staff discipline and the adherence to policies and procedures — Create a high performance-driven culture — Compile and present monthly reports and compile bi-annual stock holding reports
A tertiary qualification in Warehousing and Distribution or Business Management would be an advantage plus a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Warehouse environment of which 5 years’ must be in a Warehouse Management role. Advantage will be given to having powertool knowledge / coming from a similar background.
