JCDS is helping our client find a System Engineer with 3 to 5+ years of experience establishing, configuring, evaluating, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools. System engineer must-have experience in monitoring enterprise environments to ensure availability, performance, and proper utilization of system resources.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain VDI environment and maintain virtualization environment
• Be available for on-call troubleshooting within a data center
• Sustain accredited infrastructure and maximizes the system for best performance.
• Performs remediation of vulnerabilities to maintain system health
• Maintain Virtual Server environment across multiple enclaves
• Review system log files utilizing tools such as Graylog
• Apply patches and security updates to systems, as needed
• Provide tier II/III request fulfillment and incident resolution
• Ensure ongoing compliance with security controls
• Implement the backup plan and ensure backup and restore functions, test
• Plan and implement systems automation as required for better efficiency
• Provide End-User Device crypto-key management
• Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors as necessary

Requirements:

• Must have active Secret security clearance
• Have at least 2 -3 years of Active Directory administration experience
• Current DOD IAT II Certification (ex. Security +)
• Experience with VMWare technologies
• Experience with vSAN environment
• Demonstrated capacity to understand and communicate technical ideas, concepts, and thoughts across multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to independently determine and develop a systematic approach to solutions

Desirable:

• RedHat Certified Systems Administrator certification
• Microsoft Server Operating system certifications
• VMWare Certification
• Working knowledge of CSFC technologies and methodologies
• Experience working in the Army's classified and unclassified distributed work environment architectures and systems
• Experience working in and supporting an Operations Center
• Knowledge of data recovery procedures

Required Years of Experience: 3-5 years minimum

Education Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in a related Information Technology field
