J Harlan Group is currently conducting a search for a Solution Architect with an AWS Cloud background for a Global Asset Management firm in Philadelphia.

A great opportunity for a strong Solution Architect with the ability to influence the solution design and architecture of multiple large-scale and high-profile global projects in their Asset Management business.

Principal Responsibilities:

This role combines exciting facets of solution design and delivery experience:

• Design – design and architect solutions that support our business and technology strategies
• Review – work with our talented global team to review and align design approaches and to ensure the quality of solutions
• Leadership – provide leadership to build the team’s design capability through formal and informal channels
• Delivery – take part in the implementation and delivery of global solutions

The ideal candidate would have a background including:

Relevant technical skills include:

• Experience in design of medium to large sized applications, preferably in the cloud (AWS) and/or container environment
• Java/Python application development experience
• Experience with RDBMS database engines such as Oracle, MSSQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience with CI / CD tools
• Exposure / experience with AWS
• A team player and a confident communicator
• Critical thinking and ability to look at problem from different angles
• Asset Management experience would be highly regarded
  

Familiarity with modern software development and design concepts across multiple languages, as well as a passion for technology innovation will allow you to harness emerging technology trends to deliver solutions to their business in an efficient and agile manne
