J Harlan Group is currently conducting a search for a Lead Software Engineer at a Global Asset Manager based in Philadelphia.

An exciting opportunity for a Lead Investments Developer with strong analysis, design and development skills to join the team in Philadelphia. This hands-on strategic position provides the opportunity to deliver software solutions and will enable the right candidate to contribute significantly to the success of the business.

• Developing continuous delivery capabilities by utilizing Dev Ops to optimize time to market.

   

  Principal Responsibilities:
  

  In this role, you will work collaboratively in a global team and participate in all aspects of the software life cycle as you design, develop and maintain critical software systems using Java and/or Microsoft stacks. You will also work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements, discuss solutions and manage scope as you focus on accountability for yourself and the team around scope, budget, dates and quality. Your ability to leverage best practices around testing, security and performance considering firm guidelines as you research, evaluate and present recommendations for innovative technologies and frameworks will be key to this role.
  

  The ideal candidate would have a background including:

• Proven track record of success with coaching, communicating with senior stakeholders, managing incidents and delivering projects on time
• 5+ years development experience in a Java (Java 8, Spring, Boot, IntelliJ) or Microsoft (C#, ASP.NET, IIS, Visual Studio) environment.
• Strong understanding of data and data integration concepts (SQL, data governance, reporting) coupled with proven problem-solving skills and the ability to independently debug and diagnose problems will allow you to succeed in this role.
