J Harlan Group is currently conducting a search for a Technical Lead – Asset Management Technology to join the Global Asset Management Technology team of a Global Asset Manager in Philadelphia.

Principal Responsibilities:

In this role, you will Lead a global team of technologists whose primary focus is on designing, developing and delivering next generation platforms supporting their asset management technology. You will have the opportunity to directly partner with business stakeholders, understand their objectives/needs and deliver strategic solutions that enable them to focus on investment performance and deliver superior results.

• As a Technical Lead based in their Philadelphia office you will demonstrate your strong development and leadership skills to develop software solutions and manage delivery of technical projects.
• Collaborate with a global team and participate in all aspects of the software life cycle as you design, develop, and maintain critical software systems using AWS, Java and/or Microsoft stacks.
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements, discuss solutions, and manage scope as you focus on accountability for yourself and the team around scope, budget, dates and quality.
• Leverage best practices around testing, security and performance considering firm guidelines as you research, evaluate and present recommendations for innovative technologies and frameworks will be key to this role.

The ideal candidate would have a background including:

Relevant technical skills include:

• 5+ years development experience in a n Object Oriented Programming Language.
• Good Knowledge of AWS Solution architecture and tools, along with a strong learning mindset will be key factors in your success
• Strong understanding of data and data integration concepts (SQL, data governance, reporting) coupled with proven problem-solving skills and the ability to independently debug and diagnose problems will allow you to succeed in this role.
• Proven track record of success with coaching, communicating with senior stakeholders, managing incidents and delivering projects on time as well as
• Good Knowledge of AWS Solution architecture and tools, along with a strong learning mindset will be key factors in your success
