The Strategic Technology Leader – Enterprise Infrastructure will be the driver of change to modernize the organizations Cloud and Virtualization tech infrastructure and architecture with a focus on digital technologies to include middleware integration; agile/iterative application development, web-oriented architecture, API strategy and Cloud computing

An exciting opportunity to create, evolve, and champion the Cloud & Virtualization Infrastructure across the global organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define strategy positions for major infrastructure technology areas.
  • Define the target state and target operating model.
  • Socialize and gain acceptance for both on premise and cloud models within GTS and the broader Technology organization.
  • Work closely with Global Technology Management leadership team to identify gaps and opportunities in the current offering to support the new desired operating model.
  • Work extensively with the Global Technology Infrastructure Engineering to automate and optimize existing processes and services to streamline operations and realize cost savings or direct funding to next-generation capabilities.
  • Partner with the head of Global Technology to affect change across the division to define the Target Architecture and Target Operating Model defined above.
  • Champion, advocate, communicate strategy and architecture.
  • Drive technology infrastructure strategy and direction across all groups.
  • Relationship management for key vendor and external ecosystem partners which may include major infrastructure services vendors.
  • Drive down overall cost of ownership and increase efficiency of the Global Technology infrastructure.
  • Ensure the firm’s technology is continually improved and of the highest quality on a global scale.
  • Ensure the firm provides the best multichannel and cross product customer experience in Financial Services.

The ideal candidate would have a background:

The ideal candidate will come from a Financial Services organization and be a global visionary leader in engineering/technology who will drive priorities while balancing risks, capital allocations and change complexities throughout the enterprise.

An individual with a strong background as a Technology Architect or Chief Technology Officer with 10+ years of demonstrated senior level Technology Leadership experience with a strong understanding/focus on digital technologies to include middleware integration; agile/iterative application development, web-oriented architecture, API strategy and Cloud computing and a driver of change to modernize tech infrastructure and architecture.

  • 10+ years of demonstrated senior level Technology Leadership experience with a strong understanding/focus on digital technologies to include middleware integration; agile/iterative application development, web-oriented architecture, API strategy and Cloud computing.
  • Experience developing a roadmap and implementing an enterprise technology strategy including mobility and end user computing strategy (virtualization of desktops and applications).
  • Experience building consumer facing applications and virtual technologies expertise is preferred.
  • A rounded knowledge of all aspects of the technology stack in a large scale, complex organization is critical.
  • Successful track record as a change leader in a large and complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to take an organization from a perspective of legacy technology to a position of industry leading technology innovation.
  • Possess a track record of transforming a global business through strong execution and delivery.
  • Experience running or creating an agile methodology that is deeply ingrained in the fabric of a large-scale technology function.
  • Ability to communicate a compelling vision and inspire others to deliver on an ambitious, complex, global roadmap.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels within an organization, from the most technical engineer to the savviest business / executive leader.
  • Possess uncompromising ethics, unwavering integrity and understanding of risk & regulatory process, as well as outstanding communications and interpersonal skills.

Required Education:

  • Strong academic record and a BA/BS in computer science or other area of information technology preferred
