J Harlan Group is currently conducting a search for a Business Information Security Officer – Director of Brand Protection at a prominent Insurance organization.

This is a REMOTE OPPORUNITY.

As BISO - Director, Brand Protection you will be accountable for continuously evaluating branding technology risks and expanding the branding controls across the technical & functional units and across the different LOBs where branding risks are present. This role will partner with key stakeholders across the organization, in order to eliminate the risks and building solid controls.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Drive the organizations “Design for Brand Protection” capability incorporating proactive innovation to advance Brand Management including aspects of people, process and tools.
  • Focus on protecting brands and partnerships critically important to the business through continuous evaluation of cloud-based and multi-tenant technology platforms seeking to eliminate branding risks across the company including its branding assets and access to partner data.
  • Accountable for strategic brand risk throughout the organization and their partners including identification of risk and implementation of controls to facilitate risk mitigation.
  • Partner with system owners and architects in order to present an understanding of the current and future branding controls.
  • Partner with Legal to establish vendor policies, SLA, and contract requirements pertaining to brand controls and protections.
  • Strategize and implement appropriate policies/controls to increase security, maximize platform efficiency, and continued scalability and growth aligned with brand protection strategies.
  • Propose and drive solutions to protect brand integrity.
  • Collaborated with multiple business units to ensure branding controls are in place.
  • Evaluate and report on branding risks to senior stakeholders and recommend alternative architectures, processes and methodologies to mitigate risks across workflows and lines of

  • Strong comprehension of Insurance systems, processes and regulations.
  • Comprehension of theirs partner business processes, insurance products and offerings and the technical platforms and system.
  • Ability to work professionally across the organization; flexible, highly available and open to meet partner/client deliverables providing high level of customer service, and able to adapt to changes.

Qualifications:

  • Ample hands-on involvement with multi-tenant platforms and architecture.
  • Advanced experience in a management role
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to adapt and accept change.
  • Experience in managing deadlines to deliver/execute solutions timely.
  • Experience partnering across various functions and levels within a company to accomplish key objectives/deliverables.
  • A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, management information systems, or equivalent
