J Harlan Group is currently conducting a search for an experienced and highly motivated Corporate Communications Coordinator at a prominent NYC Private Equity - Investment Manager.

An exciting opportunity to be a key part of the growth of the firm, working closely with all members of the firm to enhance corporate culture, employee communication and engagement. As they enter the post-pandemic world, they seek someone to help bring together their team while working in a hybrid environment with an increasingly global geographic spread.

This individual will be a significant contributor in enabling their vision and helping the organization to grow and improve their hybrid team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with team members to get to know and understand individual and firm wide communication and event needs
  • Work with internal teams and managers to facilitate company-wide, cross team and one on one events both in person and online
  • Generate ideas for and execute team and relationship building opportunities
  • Define event goals, source venues, plan experience, manage registration and provide onsite support for all events (i.e., on and off-site meetings/meals, holiday party, company off site, investor annual meeting)
  • Work with team leaders to prepare budgets and provide periodic progress reports for each event project
  • Provide effective coordination for event schedules and appointments on the calendar
  • Ensure event activities (including before and after event) are properly documented for effective internal and external communication drive
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved upon

The ideal candidate would have a background including:

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a process from start to finish with true ownership
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent organization skills and experience with project management
  • Strong customer service skills in addition to an attitude for quality service delivery
  • Proficiency in the use of the Web to conduct research, carry out event administration, and procurement; ability to apply the latest versions of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Tenacious/persistent - goes the extra mile


  • Strong academic record and a bachelor’s or higher degree
