Coordinator of Lateral Attorney Recruitment

Calibrate has been retained by an Am Law 100 to recruit for a Coordinator of Lateral Attorney Recruitment to join their growing Attorney Recruitment team (the prospective candidate may also be considered for a Senior Coordinator position, depending on experience). This role will manage the daily lateral attorney recruiting operations for the Firm by attracting, recruiting, and retaining highly talented and diverse attorney candidates to meet the current and future business needs of the firm. This position will report to the Director of Lateral Recruitment and will be based in the Firm’s New York office.

High-level key responsibilities:

  • Facilitating and coordinating all aspects of the recruitment process including interview scheduling, obtaining

    evaluations, managing due diligence, and updating databases

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, attorneys, partners, recruitment, professional

    development, and practice management

  • Managing and taking ownership of the firm’s interim and off-track attorney programs

  • Staying abreast of recruitment and market trends

  • Providing ongoing support to the Director of Lateral Recruitment and Manager of Lateral Recruitment

An exceptional leader and role model, the successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator with a demonstrated ability to establish credibility, build trust, and influence and gain the confidence of firm leadership, lawyers, other professionals, and their team. This position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of independently managing recruiting processes, preferably in a law firm. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the ongoing strategic priorities of the firm.
