Business Development Manager

Law Firm - Atlanta, GA

Calibrate is working on behalf of a highly collaborative and fast-growing law firm to recruit a Business Development Manager (BDM) to execute marketing and business development plans and initiatives on behalf of the Firm’s established Industry Teams. Reporting directly to the Firm’s Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer, this manager must be located in the firm’s Atlanta office.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing firm and department where you will contribute to the ongoing development of the firm’s client-service focused initiatives. This innovative and action-oriented BDM will coach lawyers on their individual business development plans, serve as a front-line project manager for incoming projects from conception to follow-through, and guide the client development efforts for select Industry Teams, working in partnership with firm attorneys.

The Business Development Manager will collaborate and strategize with peers in the department, such as the Client Event Planner and MarCom teams, as well as Industry Team and and Practice Group Leaders to manage sponsorships and events that focus on building Client relationships. The ideal candidate will have superior analytical written and oral communication skills and be a confident initiator who is business savvy. It is imperative that this candidate can implement strategic directives and manage projects from concept to delivery.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field with a minimum of seven (7) years of marketing or business development experience in a law firm or other professional services environment as well as familiarity with a variety of the legal industry’s concept, practices, and procedures.
