Windows Migration Technician
Job Description
Image hardware (Desktop and Laptops) using SCCM
Test and clean PCs, laptops and other related hardware as needed
Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals as needed during upgrade
Set up, configure and add all required hardware during the upgrade
Provide resolution of end user’s technical issues post migration
Provide technical support to end users via telephone or deskside after migration as needed
Assure that all tickets requiring to follow up work and/or calls are resolved to closure
Assist in researching and documenting improvements to processes upon discovery
Assist coworkers in a resolution of end users’ technical issues post migration
Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Setup and configuration of new and existing desktops and laptops to new Windows 10 64-bit operating system
Reimage existing hardware using SCCM
Complete the user’s data migration after the operating system upgrade
Testing post migration to verify successful upgrade
Handle inbound calls and e-mails for upgraded machines post migration
Maintain ownership of tickets and ensure customer satisfaction until the ticket can be closed
Be able to meet the Service Level Agreement standards for the department
Provide upgrade support for both in house developed and 3rd party applications
Other duties and projects as assigned
