Cloud Security Architect

Fulltime role that must be onsite with team.

The Cloud Security Architect is responsible for analyzing cloud security architecture and integrating security controls into DevOps toolchains across various pipelines. The architect will support automation, configuration, and administration of security solutions. The architect must be adept at troubleshooting, root cause analysis, best practice research, and identifying suspicious trends. The architect will provide advisory services to business units on IT initiatives and projects in regard to security industry best practices. The Cloud Security Architect will work across tech teams to develop new standards and lead projects in support of security strategy, architecture, and engineering, and will also be responsible for developing metrics/KPIs for security tools.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience working in information security domain.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of networking and TCP/IP protocol or networking certification (CCNA). Scripting skills (Shell, Python, Java, PHP, PowerShell, etc.).

  • One or more of the following professional certifications: CISSP, CISM, SANS (GSEC, GCIA, GPEN, etc.), CISA, Security+,  AWS Security Specialty. AWS Solutions Architect, Hashicorp Certified Terraform Associate, CISSP/CASP/OSCP, RedHat Certified System Administrator/Engineer/Architect (RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA), (FW/IPS/AV/SIEM/etc.)

  • Experience working with Teraform

  • Experience using bash or python for automation 

  • Experience working in Linux (preferably RedHat RHEL7 or 8)

  • Experience with SIEM technologies.

  • Experience with AWS in a security environment

  • Experience working with firewalls and network IDS/IPS.

  • Familiar with government security standards and regulations including GLBA, SOX, PCI, COBIT, ITIL.

  • Experience doing vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and penetration testing.

  • Familiar with various security architectures and methodologies
