A leading mental health center is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join its OASAS-regulated Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program for 10 hours per week.

This role primarily serves as the medical director for the program, providing expert psychiatric evaluation, prescribing medications, and overseeing clinical care. The ideal candidate will have experience in substance abuse treatment, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to support a growing multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing treatment for patients with substance use disorders.
• Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring compliance with state regulations and OASAS standards.
• Serve as the program’s Medical Director, signing off on prescriptions and overseeing clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with counselors, therapists, and program staff to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
