A Food Manufacturing/Distribution Company is seeking an experienced Director of Buying to lead their purchasing efforts.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategically sourcing and procuring products, analyzing market trends, and maximizing profitability through effective buying strategies.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute strategic buying plans to ensure optimal product selection and pricing and source and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, terms, and quality standards.

• Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and sales data to identify opportunities for product expansion and improvement.

• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and waste and conduct regular vendor performance evaluations and establish strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable and consistent supply chain operations.

• Stay informed about industry developments, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements affecting food manufacturing and distribution.
