An advocacy company is seeking a highly professional and articulate Placement Coordinator to join their special education advocacy team. In this role, you will engage with parents of students with special needs, guiding them through the process of securing additional educational services. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, the ability to build trust, and a passion for advocating for students' rights to the best possible education. Engage and Educate Parents – Communicate with parents to help them understand their child's educational rights and the benefits of additional services. Advocate for Student Needs – Persuasively present the value of increased educational support, ensuring parents feel confident in pursuing the best options. Coordinate Student Placements – Work with school districts, special education professionals, and service providers to facilitate additional resources for students. Maintain Detailed Records – Track interactions with parents, document progress, and ensure compliance with advocacy and placement processes. Exceptional Communication & Persuasion – Ability to clearly and empathetically convey the need for services while addressing parental concerns. Strong Interpersonal Skills – Build rapport with families, educators, and service providers to foster collaboration. Organizational & Multitasking Ability – Manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining accuracy in documentation. Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking – Ability to assess each family's unique situation and provide tailored solutions for securing the best educational services. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in advocacy, education, or student services. Background in special education, social work, or parent counseling is highly desirable. Strong professionalism and ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and confidence.
