A Food Company is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager/ Purchaser to join their growing team.
This role will involve scheduling and overseeing the production operations of products, while also managing purchasing activities to ensure efficient procurement of raw materials and supplies.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee all aspects of production operations, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management to meet production targets and quality standards.
Monitor production processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and other production-related supplies to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Manage supplier relationships and communicate effectively to resolve issues, address concerns, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Skills required:
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve production goals.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production management and purchasing, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in the food industry.
