Our client is a well-respected law firm in Texas. It is currently seeking talented and motivated associates to join its growing patent and intellectual property litigation practice in its Texas office. We offer two exciting opportunities:


  1. Entry-Level Associate: This role is ideal for a recent law school graduate with a strong technical background and a passion for intellectual property law.

  2. Associate (3+ years experience): This role is perfect for a seasoned associate with experience in patent litigation and a desire to further develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

In this role, you will play a critical role in all aspects of patent and intellectual property litigation, working alongside experienced attorneys on a variety of cases. You will gain experience in:

  • Conducting legal research and analysis of patent law, trade secrets, and other intellectual property issues.

  • Assisting with drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

  • Preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.

  • Managing discovery and responding to requests for production of documents.

  • Client communication and case strategy development.

Qualifications

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school (required).

  • Patent bar membership (preferred).

  • Strong technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field (preferred).

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Interest in intellectual property law and patent litigation.
