Our client is a prominent law firm in New York, NY. It is currently seeking a mid-level associate or special counsel attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation to join its dynamic New York team. In this role, you will play a key role representing insurance companies in coverage disputes and advising them on a variety of coverage matters. Responsibilities: Represent insurance companies in coverage disputes arising from various claims, including general liability, labor law, construction defect, personal and advertising injury, and contribution claims. Advise insurance companies on complex coverage issues and analyze insurance policies and other relevant contracts. Manage all phases of the litigation process, including drafting motions, pleadings, discovery materials, and court documents. Prepare and negotiate settlement agreements. Conduct depositions, attend conferences, and handle appeals. Develop and present litigation strategies in court. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of law firm experience in insurance coverage litigation. Admitted to practice law in the State of New York. Prior experience in New York and Federal Courts is a plus. Experience litigating under general liability policies, including Labor Law, construction defect, personal and advertising injury, and contribution claims, is preferred. Superior research, writing, and communication skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Experience in all aspects of the litigation process, including depositions, conferences, and appeals. Arbitration and/or trial experience is a plus. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing. Licenses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware a significant advantage. Compensation & Benefits: It offers a competitive annualized salary range of $125,000 - $210,000, commensurate with experience. It also provides a comprehensive benefits package.
