.MAJOR DUTIES

• Evaluate performance of the leveraged loan portfolio by reviewing financial and operating metrics, analyzing business trends, identifying potential problems, and monitoring covenant compliance,
• Participate in ongoing quarterly loan reviews in conjunction with senior management,
• Review legal documentation in conjunction with the Leveraged Finance underwriting team to support new transactions,
• Provide underwriting support for credit extensions in the portfolio and manage amendment and waiver requests,
• Manage ongoing borrowing base, reporting requirements, valuation procedures, and capital raising activities for third-party financing to support both syndicated and direct lending,
• Manage Associates and Analysts, and foster their training and development.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in leveraged credit portfolio management and underwriting
• Financial modelling, financial statement analysis, and accounting skills / knowledge
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Demonstrated team player and leader
• Excellent work ethic

Qualifications

Education Required
Bachelors or better.

Experience Required

7+ years of related leveraged finance experience at an investment bank, commercial bank, or direct lender (or an MBA plus 5 years of experience)
