Manifest Solutions is currently seeking an HBase Administrator for a hybrid position in Groveport, OH.

• Installation, configuration, and administration of Hadoop big data clusters.
• Additional Hadoop Administration tasks including managing and monitoring distributed systems and middleware application performance, recommend configure and optimize all areas of the Hadoop ecosystem
• Maintenance of configuration documentation and system procedures.
• Configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of Java based applications
• Proficient in shell scripting to automate tasks and processes.
• Hadoop security setup covering LDAP, Active Directory and Kerberos (KDC) administration
• Hadoop encryption setup covering HDFS transparent data encryption, LUKS, and PKI methodologies
• Server and workstation HW/SW system installations, configuration, upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and work the issue resolution to completion.
• Provide leadership, technical support, user support, technical orientation, and technical education activities to project teams and less senior staff.
• Manage change requests between development, staging, and production environments.
• Linux systems experience including capacity planning, advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting, and performance management.
• Strong hardware/software troubleshooting and network diagnostic skills are essential.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Experience with major Hadoop distributions (Cloudera preferred)
• Administering Cloudera Hadoop Eco System - HDFS, Spark, HBase, Hive/Hive on Tez, Yarn, Oozie, and Kafka.
• Experience in CDH/CDP upgrades.
• Hands on experience with installing and configuring Kerberos for the authentication of users between Hadoop daemons.
• Troubleshooting and providing RCA for Oozie workflows and Spark applications.
• Administering and Maintaining Ranger policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of all servers.
• Infrastructure automation experience with tools like Git, Jenkins and Ansible is a plus.
• Big Data certifications like the CCA Administrator Certification a plus.
