Software Support Specialist

Manifest Solutions is currently seeking a Software Support Specialist.

  • Provide customer support to help assist with operational and system issues
  • Take ownership of technical issues, working with our Development group to resolve more advanced issues when necessary
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints with minimal need for team lead intervention
  • Document troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
  • Review source code as necessary for troubleshooting
  • Participate in providing training to customers as required
  • Take responsibility for multiple tasks in multiple projects
  • Participate in after-hours on-call customer support rotation
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the year to support customer implementations

 Skills

  • Experience troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Customer service-friendly personality
  • Command-line familiarity with Linux
  • Writing and troubleshooting SQL queries
  • Bachelors’ degree in a related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience but may consider candidates who lack a 4-year degree but have 4+years of experience.
  • Comfortable doing remote technical support, including some over the phone.
  • Develop an understanding of complex systems
  • Experience documenting and articulating your recommendations while providing technical support to customers.
  • Familiarity with SQL-based databases is required.
  • MySQL is preferred.
  • Strongly prefer Linux command-line experience
  • Prefer experience with Python development
  • Prefer prior technical support experience
  • Client-facing experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
  • Familiar with distributed systems
