Looking for Designers, Drafters, Project Architects, Job Captains, and Project Managers
Do you instinctively love to care for people, always considering others and their perspectives? This is a different kind of experience! Our medium of choice is the practice of architecture and design with a little construction thrown in. We build the dreams for our employees, clients, and industry partners one relationship at a time.
We are looking for passionate, people-focused, self-motivated, and dynamic Architecture Professionals with the ability to build meaningful relationships and to lead the design/production effort on projects of varying sizes/scopes that impact everyday people, every day of the week.
A typical and great day for you would be participating in building someone’s dream. That dream might be for a fellow co-worker for whom you are teaching and mentoring, or for whom you are honoring by providing project support. Or that dream might be a client’s dream in which you will execute and lead all phases of design including initial programming, planning, feasibility, scope and concept development, detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administration. That dream may even be that of an industry partner – a consulting engineer or another vendor, by providing clear direction so that they are better equipped to complete their corporate mission. Or even the dream of an industry organization that you would help build by participating and volunteering.

*Essential Duties* Not all duties are applicable to all job titles
- You get to have personal interactions with EVERYONE through building and maintaining meaningful and authentic relationships. We’re a little old school in that communication is key: in-person is best, phone/text is next, and written correspondence is for record keeping.
- Simply, you are a kindness giver. You are an ambassador of kindness by being an example of responsiveness, attention to detail, and caring about the people involved.
- Your opinion counts – so give it! Have an opinion with creative solutions and also be ready to follow directions.
- Be an accountable, communicative self-starter. Not that you’d go rogue or anything. We expect that you’d freely review all projects daily with Principal by discussing status on milestones/deliverables, emails and other correspondence received or required, and ideas for any improvements or modifications to current project deliverables.
- Be dependable for all deadlines you set for yourself or may be given. You’ll have to manage feasibility studies, schematic designs, working drawings and project manual/ specifications production for your projects.
- Details matter! You’ll be responsible to provide strong technical detailing skills in a variety of construction materials and building types.
- Teamwork, teamwork, teamwork! It sometimes feels like it takes a village to complete some of the work we need to. For some projects, you’re the quarterback in charge of coordinating information, managing consultants, delegating work assignments and setting schedules/deadlines.
- You set the stage for a successful project by meeting on-site with clients and consultants to perform existing condition site investigations, including building measurements, surrounding site documentation such as ADA compliance, observation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, observation, and documentation of structural systems.
- You make sure it all gets done! Most of our work requires submittal to jurisdictional agencies. Each one has its own rules and regs – you make sure we get our work done the way they want to see it!
- See your projects through completion. That’s right. Your project is yours from start to finish. You’ll get to work with the contractors by answering RFIs, reviewing submittals and issuing revisions during the construction phase. Occasionally, you’ll be required to travel to site to perform construction observation.
- Show the world who we are, what we’re about, how relationships matter and why we believe we’re different. You’ll get to represent our firm by actively participating in professional organizations and social functions.
