Position: Head of Operations
Reports to: Vice President
Oversees: All Field Operations Personnel


The Head of Operations is responsible for ensuring their team is providing quality landscaping and service to clients while achieving profit and growth goals for the company, all while maintaining an environment for a motivated and loyal workforce that exemplifies the company values.


  • Financial Goals – At or Exceed Gross Margin, Labor % and indirect expense budget

  • Eliminate/Control Warranty Work on Extras

  • Manage Quality while Pushing for Efficiency

  • Field Employee Satisfaction Targets

  • Employee Development – Training, safety and career path for all field employees

  • Controlling Inventory and Purchasing across departments



  • Develop and manage the operational plan that meets the company’s goals and objectives.

  • Develop and maintain a team focused on achieving the company plan in a way that strengthens both relationship and team effectiveness.

  • Monitor budget and key performance metrics and work with account managers, department heads and supervisors to correct deficiencies and maximize opportunities so that target budget and performance goals are met.

  • Prioritize the utilization of resources and seek additional as necessary.

  • Coach, mentor and develop operations team so they are good at what they do and are happy about it, and to help inspire them for growth within the company.

  • Monitor and support account manager and Field Supervisor’s efforts to achieve increasing levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Manage field employee reviews at all levels

  • Manage scheduling to ensure the greatest degree of efficiency

  • Interviewing new candidates for all positions



  • Minimum of 3 years management experience.

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English

  • Create, Interpret, edit and print information using Excel software application

  • Create, edit, print written documents using Word software application

  • Open, create, send and receive inter and intra-company e-mails

  • Be highly competent using Aspire Enterprise software

  • Must possess a basic knowledge of accounting and finance

  • Ability to calculate the following: percentages, area, circumference, volume, diameter by use of basic geometric and other job specific mathematical calculations.

  • Valid Arizona Driver License with approved driving record.

  • Sustainable Landscape Management Cert. (SLM)

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to self-manage and display personal accountability.
