Work with a rapidly growing Landscape firm that has been recognized by Lawn and Landscapes top 100 companies in the U.S. They are a privately owned green industry business leader in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Active in both commercial and residential landscape contracting.

Sales Manager Role...

As our Sales Manager, you not only possess key prospecting strategies to identify prospects and initiate the first outreach with potential customers, but you know how to teach and pass on this knowledge to others.You think of yourself as a mentor not just a sales person and realize your team’s wins are your wins. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and are comfortable overcoming objections. Some additional responsibilities include:

  • Calling and working with the appropriate sales team member on completing the correct needs analysis on prospective customers throughout the city
  • Managing the development and maintenance of strong pipelines for all sales team members
  • Reporting and communicating customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services.
  • Continuously improving sales performance through feedback
  • Analyzing the territory/ market’s potential, tracking sales and maintaining status reports

What We’ll need from you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred (Horticulture or similar major)
  • 10 years sales management experience in the Green Industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications
  • Ability to create and communicate effective sales presentations both written and orally
  • Profit-Driven-ability to find ways to cut costs, improve efficiency and increase margins
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Effective problem solving skills; ability to handle adversity
