Exciting opportunity for a Landscape Professional to be in a Leadership position. Looking to grow their career as a Director of Maintenance at a premier Landscape firm in Portland, OR area. Our client is looking for Leadership to run the operations and sales for the maintenance division. They are an established reputation for doing great work and are seeing significant growth in the construction teams, the create opportunities as well for growth in the maintenance division. This firm provides property maintenance, turf/plant health care, planting/ enhancement services, and to high end Residential and Commercial clients. In addition to traditional landscaping services, we also provide irrigation, hardscaping, landscape lighting and fountain installation that feeds new clients and growth into the maintenance services. The Maintenance division engages in the routine (weekly) maintenance of primarily elite residential properties. Success will be achieved by being a thought leader to create systems, building teams, operational excellence through establishing training programs, while having a strong work ethic and being a self-starter who enjoys interacting with our clients and our team members.
The Director of Maintenance will oversee and direct all daily operations of the maintenance division. Position has total profit-making responsibility for maintenance operations commensurate with sales revenue of the division. Works in conjunction with sales from construction to generate revenue. Provides direction and leadership to ensure effective operations, complete customer satisfaction and long-term sustainable growth with all divisions of maintenance. This position will work with other company management to establish overall objectives and procedures regarding sales, production, profits, quality, staff development, monitor progress and ensure achievement in the maintenance division. This position will report directly to the President & CEO and will play a key role on the executive leadership team and in decision making to successfully grow the maintenance division into a larger operation.
•Minimum 5 years Landscape industry experience.
•Senior landscape maintenance knowledge base.
•Minimum 5 years managing teams, equipment and/or operations.
• Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Ag Science, Landscape Management, Plant and Soil Science, Environmental Design, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture or Advanced Business Degree
• Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Strong work ethic
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Experienced with management of teams, business development outreach, and process implementation
