We are working with a continuously growing, national organization in the search for an Associate Chief Medical Officer for the expansion and launch of services into Houston, TX, in the spring of 2021. The candidate selected for this role must be prepared to provide direction and oversight of 2-3 Houston medical clinics as well as take on the challenges associated with overseeing the launch and growth of a new market. This primary care organization's model successfully addresses the need for coordinated and specialized care to manage the health of geriatric patients by avoiding preventable and costly health issues and treatments. As Associate Chief Medical Officer, your role would be 20% clinical and 80% administrative, although the individual in this role must be prepared to have significantly more clinical responsibility until the new market is established. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversees the medical services of 2-3 medical clinics and 4 to 8 plus physicians
Hires, manages and mentors primary care physicians as a clinical leader. Directly responsible for talent selection and development.
Supports the development and cultivation of positive relationships with local specialists and the medical community under the guidance of the market chief medical officer.
Leads physician providers in weekly morbidity and mortality meetings and participates in market leadership, executive, and recruiting meetings
Maximizes doctors and services in one location to deliver coordinated and collaborative health care that enhances quality outcomes, efficiency, and patient experience
Qualified candidates will have significant leadership experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
