Software Sales Director

MJ Morgan Group - Columbia, MD

We are looking for a high performing Director of Sales to help exceed customer, user, and revenue targets.Primary responsibilities will be bringing direction and growth to the company sales function, maximizing the sales team’s performance, and crafting sales strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with leadership on overall trajectory and growth of the organization
  • Achieve company sales targets by successfully managing the sales function within identified budget
  • Develop sales performance reports and forecasts
  • Review and improve policies and operating procedures within the sales function
  • Develop training materials and train team to sales strategies, positioning, and best practices
  • Represent the sales function and deliver reporting sets in leadership meetings
  • Evaluate current compensations, job descriptions, candidate profiles, and performance expectations of sales staff for overall competitiveness and effectiveness
  • Evaluate and set team structures and headcount
  • Hiring and replacing sales team members as needed
  • Align with Marketing on lead generation strategy, lead quality, and messaging
  • Lead management and distribution via CRM
  • Work cross-functionally with Customer Success to ensure new account activations meet quality assurance targets
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing on staffing for events such as tradeshows and summits
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • BS/BA degree in Business Admin or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience as an inside sales director in a B2B SaaS environment, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Proven ability to drive the sales function against a budget
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management within a B2B SaaS business model
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills

SKILL PREFERENCES
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Knowledge of the home improvement industry
