Job Summary

The Sales Engineer plays a strategic role in expanding MTech Systems' presence across Mexico, Central America, and South America. This position combines technical expertise with business acumen, acting as a key technical advisor to bridge MTech’s advanced software solutions with the specific needs of poultry and swine producers.

Additionally, the Sales Engineer works closely with prospective and existing customers to identify challenges, demonstrate the value of MTech’s solutions, and drive adoption. This role requires strong collaboration between sales, product, and implementation teams to ensure that customer feedback helps shape MTech’s offerings and market positioning.

The ideal candidate is proactive, strategic, and passionate about using data, innovation, and sustainability-driven solutions to optimize efficiency in animal protein production

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify, prospect, and build relationships with potential customers in the Americas (Central and South), including the Mexico region, to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
  • Client Engagement & Support: Understand customer challenges and provide technical insights by collaborating with sales and technical teams to deliver presentations, demos, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs), as well as provide training and support during onboarding to ensure customer success.
  • Solution Design & Proposal Development: Partner with engineering and product teams to develop tailored solutions and create compelling proposals that meet client needs.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and product development.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with product development, engineering, and marketing to communicate customer needs and product capabilities effectively.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales pipeline, and opportunities in the CRM system.

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or related fields.
  • Strong technical knowledge to understand and communicate software solutions and convey their value to customers.
  • Preferred experience in the swine and/or poultry industry or as a Sales Engineer, though not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel across Mexico, Central, and South America.
