Job Summary

Reporting to a Project Director, The Team Lead position will work as part of a central project department and be responsible for actively facilitating the implementation of designated projects for both new and existing clients with their team.

Project Team Leads are accountable for ensuring that M-Tech software meets the needs of the customer, executing project deliverables on time and within scope, maintaining project budgets and leading a team of software consultants to success. Project Consultants will assume all responsibility for all aspects of their respective assigned projects and people.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

The Project Team Lead will contribute to building multifaceted enterprise software implementation teams and the execution of project responsibilities. Essential responsibilities include and functions of the Team Lead are:

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, motivate and encourage a team of diverse software consultants and analysts to successfully implement software and achieve team/company goals. This includes recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training of team members as M-Tech grows.
  • Develop team member skills and ensure consistent growth from each team member. This includes managing resource development plans, providing additional training, holding regular feedback sessions, advising Senior Management on compensation adjustments, promotions, bonuses, or rewards earned by team members.
  • Provide frequent feedback on employee performance and identify poor performance and work to address it, including termination suggestions to Senior management.
  • Provide requisite in-person meetings, feedback, and management for team members.
  • Meet in-person with Senior management/executive teams to provide real-time feedback on team performance and project status.
  • Govern communication and cooperation between customers and project team members or other M-Tech departments.
  • Collaborate, liaise, and effectively communicate with internal M-Tech departments to ensure project goals and revenue targets are achieved.
  • Identify, communicate, and solve project related risks and challenges.

Project Execution

  • Oversee the scope and timeline of all projects to meet contractual obligations and expectations of the customer, ensuring the team members are delivering to such expectations.
  • Build resource allocation plans, budgets, and timelines via company software applications to achieve project goals and revenue plans.
  • Document, organize and gather all project requirements. Develop documentation for each project as required by the customer. Develop, plan, and track all project activities using Project Management tools.
  • Apply milestones, targets, and tasks to control work and overall project deliverables—internally and externally.
  • Develop risk management plans and mitigating measures to ensure project deliverables.
  • Provide M-Tech Senior Management with clear, concise, and accurate data and views into the status and timeline of every project.
  • Partner with M-Tech Management and Finance teams to forecast accurate revenue projections based on project milestones; ensure targets are achieved.
  • Train and work with end users as required.

Customer Experience

  • Coach and lead a team to provide excellent customer service through effective and timely communication, expectations setting and the consistent delivery of quality work.
  • Proactively intervene with challenging customers to avoid project disruption.
  • Consult and advise customers on business processes and software modifications to meet their needs and achieve customers goals (attain ROI).
  • Respectfully and professionally challenge customers with custom software requirements to achieve sustainable solutions for long term customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely communication with customers.
  • Train and develop end users to understand M-Tech’s systems and applications.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • College degree in applicable field required.
  • 6-8 years of applicable experience in project management, SaaS solutions and software implementation.
  • 2-4 years of experience in directly managing a team of 4+ resources, or other application people management.
  • Proficiency in public speaking, software demonstrations and presentations; can “run the room”.
  • Experience with application integrations, MS Excel, and other relevant data applications.
  • Excellent Planning and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional Analytical skills, deductive reasoning ability and proven proficiency with technical environments.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving ability; can do so in challenging and high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of or experience with animal agriculture and/or poultry is a bonus.


Travel and Commute Requirements

  • Up to 50% of domestic and international travel as required by project schedules.
