Position Summary:

The PTA provides direct rehab care under a licensed Physical Therapist's supervision, following all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (ASPT).
  • Licensure: Active PTA license in good standing.
  • Experience: Preferably one year in post-acute care or a related setting.
  • CPR Certification: Must be current upon hire or obtained during orientation.
Specific Skills:
  • Community health project participation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
  • Effective liaison with patients, families, and support departments.
  • Good body mechanics and independent decision-making.
  • Knowledge of post-acute care regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong communication and professional relationship skills.
  • Confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
Essential Functions:
  • Follow treatment plans as directed by the supervising PT.
  • Maintain accurate and timely charting.
  • Use therapy software correctly.
  • Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
  • Assist in patient evacuations if needed.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and reliability.
  • Use reasoning and good judgment skills.
  • Work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move during working hours.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
