Position Summary:The PTA provides direct rehab care under a licensed Physical Therapist's supervision, following all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
Requirements:- Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (ASPT).
- Licensure: Active PTA license in good standing.
- Experience: Preferably one year in post-acute care or a related setting.
- CPR Certification: Must be current upon hire or obtained during orientation.
Specific Skills:- Community health project participation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Effective liaison with patients, families, and support departments.
- Good body mechanics and independent decision-making.
- Knowledge of post-acute care regulations and guidelines.
- Strong communication and professional relationship skills.
- Confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
Essential Functions:- Follow treatment plans as directed by the supervising PT.
- Maintain accurate and timely charting.
- Use therapy software correctly.
- Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
- Assist in patient evacuations if needed.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and reliability.
- Use reasoning and good judgment skills.
- Work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move during working hours.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
