Gannon University, a dynamic private university in Erie, Pennsylvania, seeks nurse educators for nine-month, full-time nursing faculty positions in the Villa Maria School of Nursing. The Villa Maria School of Nursing invites applicants for three full-time, tenure-track or teaching-track faculty positions.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Villa Maria School of Nursing is currently seeking to fill three faculty positions which will be responsible for teaching in both the undergraduate and the graduate programs. Candidates must provide evidence of competence in diverse teaching methods and effective classroom and clinical instruction. These positions include: Assistant Professor, Tenure Track or Instructor, Teaching Track, or Assistant Professor, Teaching Track. There are options based upon experience and degree.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Faculty work collaboratively with colleagues; deliver instruction; and engage in professional, University, and community service activities.
• Faculty advise students; engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon.
• All faculty must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
Required Qualifications
• Applicants must be a registered nurse with a master’s degree in nursing.
• Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain nursing licensure in Pennsylvania.
Preferred Qualifications
• An earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related field is preferred.
• Applicants who are enrolled or in the process of enrolling to doctoral programs are also encouraged to apply.
• Recent clinical and teaching experience in a program of higher education is preferred.
