Lincoln Memorial University (LMU), a comprehensive values-based learning community dedicated to providing quality educational experiences at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels, seeks a Director of the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Program and Instructional Faculty member to join its highly successful Caylor School of Nursing.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The full time Director of the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Program and instructional faculty member shall have the primary responsibilities of day-to-day operation of the Nurse Anesthesia program, teaching, research/scholarly activity, and service functions and shall be held accountable for these obligations as they contribute to the attainment of the mission of the University and the Caylor School of Nursing.
The Director NA and instructional faculty shall serve on university councils and committees as elected or appointed. This is a 12-month position in either Harrogate or Knoxville.
DUTIES
• Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large.
• Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students.
• Provide leadership for the nurse anesthesia concentration.
• Be responsible for budget development to meet the needs of the nurse anesthesia concentration.
• Provide course and classroom conduct as outlined in the Faculty/Staff Policy Manual.
• Undertake the “Standard Instructional/Research/Service Workload” as outlined in the Faculty/Staff Policy Manual.
• Comply with the university Faculty/Staff Policy Manual.
• Provide academic advisement of students.
• Conduct office/conference hours.
• Ensure textbook requests are submitted.
• Comply with announced requirements.
• Engage in professional development
• Fulfill the University’s scholarship expectation through research, publication, grant development, and scholarly activity.
• Provide committee service.
• Attend school and university faculty meetings.
• Participate in community and public service opportunities.
• Participate in annual faculty evaluation.
• Complete required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• An earned doctorate in nursing
• Professional preparation/credentials by recognized credentialing body in NA specialty required (CRNA)
• Evidence of scholarly activities
• Experience as Program Director or Assistant Program Director is preferred.
