Inside Sales Account Manager

The company is a provider of cyber security software solutions and software research services solving some of the world’s most complex security problems. Our application security testing tools help customers deliver more secure software, faster. We are looking for a self-motivated, action-oriented Inside Sales Account Manager (ISAM) to help us achieve our rapid growth targets. This individual will be responsible for selling products and services to customers in North America and will be located in our headquarters in Bethesda, MD. The ISAM will use phone and email to develop inbound leads, perform outbound prospecting, and close deals. The ISAM will be part of a team that is responsible for a geographical or vertical segment of the North American market.

The focus of the ISAM is to proactively identify new business opportunities for the sales team and work with the regional team to close the opportunity to meet and exceed sales performance goals. The ISAM will be an expert in using modern customer relationship management, marketing, and sales development tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and Outreach.

Once an opportunity has been identified, the ISAM be the driving force to demonstrate the Value Proposition to the customer and progress the opportunity through to closing. This will include following the company's Sales Process, quoting as well as reporting and forecasting.

This is an exciting role that will require a self-motivated individual that is an excellent communicator that is able to build strong relationships with prospects and help to solve their business challenges.


  • Understand customer needs and position solutions to meet them
  • Help prospects understand the value of solutions
  • Follow-up, develop and qualify inbound leads using Outreach
  • Generate outbound leads targeting specific accounts
  • Co-own the sales achievement with the territory manager
  • Maintain account data in Salesforce
  • Work with the marketing team to fine-tune messaging and programs
  • Some customer travel expected


  • Minimum of 1-3 years of sales development experience
  • Fluent in using Salesforce and Outreach
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Proven ability in implementing and evolving marketing efforts
  • Experience in software sales, ideally software development or cyber security tools
