Job Summary

The Sr. Network IT Manger is responsible for overseeing the IT network operations, including planning, development, and implementation of technology projects that utilize IT solutions, principles, standards, and best practices.

- Develops, establishes, and maintains technology standards and procedures.

- Throughout the project lifecycle, obtains feedback to ensure that project efforts meet customer

expectations for contracted time, cost, and performance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.

- Advance enterprise infrastructure technology objectives through the implementation and

operations of Enterprise Networks, WAN, and Public Cloud Network Security

- Partner with Lines of Business, Agency, and Corp IT teams to provide technology thought

leadership

- Collaborate with Business, Agency, and Corp IT teams to design and deliver technology

solutions

- Share best practices with other IT leaders and assist with cross-business activities as needed

- Align programs, projects, and operations to AP’s technology strategic objectives

- Produce regular project reporting to executive leadership and teams

- Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards and regional regulatory policies

- Provide clarity around program scope, goal and expected benefits and communicates effectively

- Escalate project issues/risks to leadership promptly

- Identify and resolve all end user service needs for the region by working with the Corporate

leaders

- Manage a portfolio of technology projects by leveraging Agency and Corp IT COEs

- Proactively monitor technology budgets and identify savings opportunities by leveraging

enterprise IT vendors

- Manage relationships and coordinate at various levels of regional and corporate staff

- Capture and help prioritize project change requests that can include new requirements, features, functions, operational constraints, regulatory demands, and technical enhancements

- Travel is expected to be 20% in this role.

 

Qualifications

- Experience in managing Local Networks, Wireless, WAN, Azure/AWS, and Firewalls

- Mastery knowledge in VLANs, VPN, SD-WAN, firewall, load balancing, DNS, DHCP, and public

cloud environments

- Experience integrating new technology platforms into existing IT infrastructure and security

- Experience with new technology platforms into existing IT infrastructure and security

- Extensive experience in systems architecture and IT security

- Facilitation experience for conducting stakeholder meetings

- Experience and ability to manage a team of offshore/near shore resources

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.

 

Education and/or Experience

- Bachelor’s degree required, or higher education level, or foreign equivalent, preferably in area with Information Technology or Software Engineering emphasis.

- Minimum of 7 years’ professional experience, preferably in implementing enterprise solutions and infrastructure.

- Professional certifications related to networking such as CCNA, CCIE, CCNP, Network +, Security + etc.
